Search for Unclaimed Property (Tennessee Unclaimed Property)
(Visit this site
)
The Unclaimed Property online search contains names and partial last known addresses of apparent owners of Unclaimed Property that have been delivered to the Treasurer of the State of Tennessee. The financial property is usually from bank accounts, utility deposits, stock dividends, insurance proceeds, uncashed wage checks, or similar items held for persons or entities who can no longer be located. Addresses are provided to distinguish the proper owner associated with the account.
You must enter at least a last name or a business name to search. The rest of the search fields are optional. You can enter a first name or part of a first name, a city, or a county to narrow your search. Or, if you have an unclaimed property ID number issued by the Treasury Department, you may search with that alone and do not have to enter a name.
You may choose to see more details about a piece of unclaimed property by clicking on the "Details" button in the list of search results. The Property Details will provide you with more information so that you can determine whether or not you may be able to claim the property.
If you find a record of unclaimed property that you believe that you can claim, select the "Claim This" button at the bottom of the Property Detail page.
After submitting this information, a completed claim form will be presented to you. This page also outlines the Documentation Required to claim the property.
