Illinois Unclaimed Property Holder Information
All business entities (holders) in the state of Illinois are required to report unclaimed property either May 1st or November 1st of each year.
All business associations, utilities, and life insurance corporations are required to file reports each May 1st. The activity cutoff date is 12/31 of the previous year, less five (5) years.
All banking and financial organizations, insurance companies other than life insurance corporations, and governmental entities are required to file each November 1st. The activity cutoff date is 6/30 of the present year, less five (5) years.
