Amnesty (Florida Unclaimed Property)

The Florida Department of Financial Services is encouraging businesses inside and outside the State of Florida who are holding unclaimed property to comply with Florida’s Unclaimed Property Law. This compliance can be achieved using a program called voluntary disclosure.
Qualifications for property holders to participate in the program are as follows:
1. The holder is not currently the subject of an unclaimed property examination, nor to its knowledge, has it been notified by the Department, or its contracted vendors, of their intention to conduct an unclaimed property examination of the holder’s records.
OR
2. The holder has not previously filed an annual report of unclaimed property report with the Department (first-time filer).
