Lots of good info here, but the real gem is "Doing the Right Thing: A Guide to Internal Control." This is a complete course that covers internal control basics and managing internal control risks. There's even a short quiz to test your knowledge.

Two items are special here: 1. the FAQ is clear and complete, more so than for many other university internal audit sites, and 2. there is a link to "Internal Controls Self-Assessment" where you can find an excellent checklist called the Controls Assessment Tool (CAT). New budget officers or department secretaries may find information in the CAT to be especially helpful.
